Joanne Tseng

Joanne Tseng is a popular Taiwanese actress and singer. Born on November 17, 1988, she and her family are from the Atayal tribe, a group of indigenous Taiwanese aborigines. At the age of 14, Joanne Tseng and Esther Liu debuted as the Mandopop duo girl group Sweety in 2003. Since the group’s hiatus in 2007, Joanne has focused on her solo career in both singing and acting. Joanne made her acting debut in the 2004 film “20 30 40” and the television series “Top on the Forbidden City.” She has since starred mostly in television dramas, including the recent “Ti Amo Chocolate” (2012), “Our Love” (2013), “Dear Mom” (2014-2015), “Marry Me, Or Not?” (2015-2016) and “Attention, Love!” (2017).

Tseng was born on 17 November 1988 in Jianshi, Hsinchu, Taiwan. She has an older sister, Chih-ying (曾之萦). Both of her parents are teachers.

Her family are from the Atayal tribe of indigenous Taiwanese aboriginals.

Tseng graduated from the National Taiwan University of Arts with a Drama & Theater degree. She plays the piano, flute and violin.

Joanne was born on November 17, 1988 in Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County, Taiwan and has an older sister. Both of her parents are teachers.

In 2002, Joanne along with Esther Liu formed a Mandopop duo girl group called Sweety and they debuted in 2003, at the time of their debut both members were only 14 years old. Sweety were active from 2003 to 2006 and so far the duo has released 3 studio albums and 2 soundtracks, but Sweety went on hiatus as a group since 2007 when member Esther went to Paris to study for a few years, while Joanne has since continued with her solo career. As of 2016, Sweety still remain inactive as a group as both members have been focusing on their solo careers since their hiatus in 2007. Apart from singing, both members have also acted in movies and TV series, since her debut Joanne has appeared and starred in a long list of TV series/dramas in Taiwan and mainland China.
